I am a PhD student at ETH Zürich in the Neural Computation and Cognition Lab, led by Prof. Valerio Mante.
I previously completed an MSc in Neural Systems and Computation at ETH Zürich, where my thesis focused on the mechanistic interpretability of recurrent neural networks trained to emulate hidden Markov models.
Before joining ETH, I studied Economics and Computer Science at Bocconi University and spent a semester at the University of California, San Diego, studying neural computation. I completed my BSc with a thesis on Bayesian nonparametric modeling of neural spike data under the supervision of Prof. Antonio Lijoi.
I am originally from Florence, Italy, a city whose history and art continue to shape how I see the world.
