Perceptual and Neural Sensitivity - Data from a Monkey

The plot to the right shows the relation between spatial frequency and contrast sensitivity, indicating the level of contrast and frequency at which an individual (x-dotted line) and a single cell (o-dotted line) can detect the stimulus. From the graph we can notice that a single cell is particularly tuned to a narrow range of spatial frequencies.
